Cherokee Antique Row

Mere minutes from downtown St. Louis, Cherokee Antique Row offers six blocks of independently owned and operated establishments, from antique shops to art galleries and specialty stores to diverse restaurants. Many of the storefronts are colorfully decorated, with hand-painted signs that showcase incredible craftsmanship.

Lined with shade trees, Cherokee Antique Row runs from Jefferson to Lemp avenues. As you explore, look for short histories displayed in windows, on façades and fences. The stories address the charming 19th-century Victorian architecture that defines the street, the children who grew up here and the families that ran the businesses through the 1950s.

You can shop until you drop, but we recommend taking a tour of one of the area’s famed mansions when you get your second wind. The Chatillon-DeMenil Mansion, a magnificent example of the Late Greek Revival style in St. Louis, sits at the end of the street, and guided tours run from March through December.
